Lisa and Mark are full time professional salsa dancers based in Oxford. As well as running several weekly classes and monthly club nights they guest teach and perform regularly around the UK and also train 2 student teams for performance. Lisa and Mark trained in the US with top international group Hacha Y Machete and have performed and/or taught at numerous international congresses including Bulgaria, Prague, Antwerp, Amsterdam, Norway, GreatBritishSalsaExperience Manchester, Mambocity London, Brussels, Luxembourg, Turkey, Haarlem, Athens, Boston USA, and also the prestigious New York Congress where they were the only act representing the UK in 2008. Mark as "DJ Clave" has DJd at UK clubs and festivals and internationally. Lisa also holds the Official Guinness World Record for number of spins in one minute which was broken at GBSEx in 2008 and has remained unbroken since!  Lisa and Mark recently demonstrated salsa spinning at the Move It Dance Exhibition in Olympia and Lisa will be teaching her record breaking technique at GBSEx this year!

In their teaching Lisa and Mark emphasise appreciation and understanding of latin music and good leading and following technique. They encourage a relaxed attitude so that students of all levels can enjoy their classes and go away with a sense of achievement. They have been particularly successful at training performance groups made up of students from their local classes, most of whom started with them as total beginners and have ranged in ages from 16-60! Their ConTambor Student Group has gone on to perform around the UK at many events and festivals including GBSEx and gave the opening performance at the Mambocity Congress 2010. Lisa and Mark also love social dancing so see you on the dancefloor!
