GBSEx Salsa Congress UKSanto Rico

The history of Santo Rico dates back to 1995. The name of the dance company derived from the initial members of the group being half from Santo Domingo (Santo) and half from Puerto Rico (Rico), hence the name "Santo Rico."

Santo Rico Dance Company, currently under the direction of Thomas Guerrero, has become one of New York's premier dance companies with their dazzling choreographies and unique style dancing, and has performed and taught at major events such as the legendary off-Broadway Comedy Dancical "Latin Madness," in Madison Square Garden, and at several Salsa Congresses throughout the country and the world. Speaking of which, Santo Rico has traveled to 3 continents and over 11 countries, which included Canada, England, Norway, Switzerland, Italy/Rome, Sweden, Amsterdam, Belgium, Spain, Japan, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico. Some of their achievements also include performing alongside renowned artists such as Tito Puente, Marc Anthony, Norman Headman, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Oscar De Leon, Victor Manuelle, Hector Tricoche, Jose Alberto "El Canario," Raulin Rosendo and Johnny Pacheco, as well as performing and teaching their style of dancing at universities, colleges and special events throughout the United States.

Santo Rico currently consists of over 15 very talented young men and women training and preparing for the upcoming year of travel and many more exciting performing/teaching opportunities.
