Afternoon Showcase
After
the success of last year's Afternoon Showcase, we'll be showing off the talents of some of the lesser known performers and student groups once again on Saturday afternoon. Why not grab your lunch and come and watch some great lunchtime entertainment and offer your support to the stars of tomorrow.

New for 2010
This year, our evening showcases will be all-seated! This will be more comfortable for everyone and ensures we comply with the venue’s health and safety regulations. There is not enough capacity to seat everyone on each night, so you need to select which nights you want to watch shows when you buy your tickets. It's first-come, first-served.You make your show choices when you purchase your basic ticket online at www.salsatribe.com. Please note that the show schedule for each night will be published in September, but we will ensure that there are the same number and quality of shows on each night.
Live Music with Jimmy Bosch & Grupo X
Top New York band leader and the world's greatest salsa trombonist, Jimmy Bosch, will play 'live' at GBSEx III, accompanied by Jonny Enright and Grupo X.
Jimmy Bosch is one of the salsa greats, an extraordinary musician, best known for his powerful trombone solos. He's also one of New York's top band leaders, with an 11 piece orchestra back home, and a talented and original songwriter with many salsa hits under his belt, including La Noticia and La Cacharra. If that isn't enough, Jimmy is also a true entertainer able to create an energy and vibe on stage which is captivating and always goes down well with dancers.
Jimmy will play at GBSEx with one of Europe's leading salsa bands, Grupo X. Based in London and led by Jonny Enright, they've made a name for themselves with many successful album releases and are the backing musicians of choice for visiting salsa musicians. Jimmy and Grupo X last played in the UK in 2008 in an award-winning performance at Salsology in Manchester. They appear at GBSEx III on Sunday night after the shows... Awesome.
